Car Parking
The race starts (and finishes), on the Alconbury Airfield site where there is ample car parking available.

Pre Race Warm Up
There will be a warm up session provided by Laura prior to the start.  Laura is a  physiotherapist specialising in sports injuries from the Centre For Complementary Health and she'll be providing complementary sports massages afterwards for those who require it!

The Start
The Fun Run will start at 9.00am sharp. All runners should be assembled behind the start line by 8.50am. Remember this is a fun run so please take care an watch out for younger and older runners.

The 10K race will start will be at 10.00am sharp. All runners should be assembled by 9.50am behind the start line. At the start it is dangerous for slower runners to be near the front where they may impede the faster runners. You could cause an accident, so please be realistic with your expected finish time and start position. You will find approximate time boxes to start from. Remember that although the race results will be based on your position at the end of the race you will also get your actual running time for the course from start line to finish line so if you are a slower runner please start in the appropriate place for your time.

The 10K Course
Kilometre markers will be prominently displayed along the route, which has been accurately measured. Please be constantly aware that your safety is your own responsibility.
You must obey the instructions of the Race Marshals at all times. They are in a far better position than you to know of any possible danger points. 
No dogs will be allowed to take part in this race. This is a dangerous practice, liable to cause accidents and is forbidden under the regulations of the British Association of Road Races.

Timing
Fun Run Timing
For your immediate finishing needs there will be a digital clock mounted on the gantry by the finish to record your time. this will be done with the aid of manual time keepers. The results will be displayed on the website as soon as possible.
10K Timing
For your immediate finishing needs there will be a digital clock mounted on the gantry by the finish to record your time. With the use of the Computer timing we will be displaying the earlier results near the finish as soon as possible.

Finish
The finish is at the same point as the start. Please keep moving after crossing the line and you will be channeled into a funnel where your timing chip will be removed and your race finisher’s medal presented to you. You should continue until you are clear of the funnel. You will be requested to keep moving to collect your drink and meet up with family and friends. Please do not congregate or obstruct the finish area, nor distract the officials in the finish area.
